News » Clerks prep for big voter turnout
June 5, 2012 Local clerks are set for today's recall.
Appleton city clerk Char Peterson says they made sure to print enough ballots, so they won't run out, if turnout is much higher than expected.
She's predicting 65-to-70 percent of voters in the city will head to the polls. That's a little higher than the statewide projection of 60-to-65 percent.
Peterson says there are 15 polling locations, and some of them are different from last year, because of the redistricting process.
Peterson says people can find their polling location, online, at the state Government Accountability Board's Public Voter Access website.
Green Bay city clerk Kris Teske says she expects a 60-to-65 percent turnout. She says she'll have four staffers available to take extra ballots to their polling places, if they're running low at any of their 41 locations.
