News » Walker easily carries 4 NE Wis. counties
June 6, 2012 Governor Walker spent a lot of time in the Green Bay and Appleton areas in recent weeks, and he easily won the four counties that include those two cities.
Voters in Outagamie, Brown, Winnebago, and Calumet counties backed the governor by double digits in yesterday's recall.
The widest gap was in Calumet, where he topped Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett by a two-to-one margin, with 67 percent.
Outagamie supported Walker, 61-to-38 percent, and County Clerk Lori O'Bright reported a 78 percent turnout.
The governor carried Brown County, 60-to-40, and the closest margin was in Winnebago County, at 56-to-44. |
