News » L.C. students compete in global competition
June 6, 2012 Two Little Chute high school teams are back from the global finals of a competition that combines the arts, engineering, and science to solve a problem.
Jeff Greuel is a coach for the school's Destination Imagination team. He says one of their teams took second in the competition, and the other finished 24th.
Each team was competing against about 60 other teams, and they were in separate categories.
Greuel says his team had to create a structure made out of wood and glue, that could hold golf balls, and support a significant amount of weight.
His team also had to write and perform a skit that included the structure in the story line. Greuel says it really is a multi-discipline project.
The other Little Chute team had to create a solar energy project, and write a skit about it as well. |
