The state's Farm Technology Days are coming to Outagamie County next month, for the first time in 31 years.
County Executive Tom Nelson joined state agriculture secretary Ben Brancel in the New London area this morning, to announce the details of the three-day event.
Nelson says the county contributes about $3 billion to the state agriculture industry.
Two farms along Highway D, north of New London, are hosting the event from July 17-19. About 15,000 people are expected to be there every day, along with 600 exhibitors.
Nelson says the event is expected to generate about $1.8 million in economic activity for the area.
The county last hosted the state's largest farm and ag show in 1981. |
