News » Turnout nears 78% in Outagamie Co.
June 6, 2012 More than three-quarters of the voters in Outagamie County went to the polls yesterday.
County Clerk Lori O'Bright says the unofficial returns show turnout was nearly 78 percent, and that's significantly more than the governor's race in 2010. That total was 62 percent.
The city of Appleton mirrored the county results.
Statewide, the Government Accountability Board says 57 percent of voters headed to the polls. That broke the state record of 52 percent, set in the 1964 race for governor. |
