News » Timber Rattlers expanding Fox Cities Stadium
June 7, 2012 The Wisconsin Timber Rattlers are planning a major renovation project at Fox Cities Stadium.
Team President Rob Zerjav unveiled the proposal this morning.
It includes a second level with suites, club seats, and a banquet hall. There would also be improvements on the main concourse, with expanded concession stands and more bathrooms.
They're also going to replace the current cement-block exterior, and build a more prominent entrance.
The project will cost between $5.5 million and $6 million, and Zerjav says they're funding it privately, through the Fox Cities Amateur Sports Authority.
Zerjav says they hope the improvements will turn the ballpark into a year-round destination, especially with the banquet hall.
The renovations will start at the end of the season, and they'll be done in time for Opening Day next year.
