News » Disappointed Dems meeting in Appleton
June 8, 2012 The party could be more than a bit subdued when Wisconsin Democrats meet in downtown Appleton later today for their annual convention, given the results in Tuesday’s recall.
Sen. Mark Miller of Monona is the leader of the Senate Democrats. He says they were hoping to celebrate a recall victory by Tom Barrett over Governor Walker, but it didn’t happen. Still, Miller doesn’t expect many no-shows at the Radisson Paper Valley hotel.
Miller says despite the loss in Tuesday’s recall for Governor, Democrats are encouraged that they did pick up one seat in the Senate to gain the majority.
He says they’ll also be looking ahead to the November elections. |
