News » Valley Transit offers 'Freedom Pass' again
June 11, 2012 The number of kids who get an unlimited summer pass for Valley Transit is climbing.
Appleton students can ride for free during the school year, with their student ID, and the bus system started offering a $40 "Freedom Pass" several years ago.
Voeltzke says parents like the passes because their kids can hop on the bus to go to the mall, a movie, or the pool. She says it's a good piggy-back to their partnership with the school district.
Valley Transit sold almost 7,600 Freedom Passes last year, and that's up from about 6,200 in 2010. They sold nearly 5,000 in 2009. |
