News » Neumann campaigns with prominent senator
June 11, 2012 One of the nation's most conservative senators was in Green Bay today, to stump for a GOP candidate in Wisconsin's senate race.
Sen. Tom Coburn of Oklahoma says he worked with Mark Neumann while Neumann was a congressman, and he feels Neumann is the best candidate to get the nation's spending under control.
Coburn says Neumann is principled, fiscally responsible, and he isn't afraid to stand up for what he believes in, even if it means standing up to party leadership.
Neumann and three other Republicans are trying to replace retiring Democratic Sen. Herb Kohl. Neumann, former Governor Tommy Thompson, businessman Eric Hovde, and Assembly speaker Jeff Fitzgerald face each other in an August primary.
The winner faces Democratic Congresswoman Tammy Baldwin in the November election. |
