News » Stretch of Hwy. KK closed for road work
June 12, 2012 About a one-mile segment of Highway KK is closed for the next few weeks, for a road construction project.
Calumet County highway commissioner Mike Ottery says they're re-paving about a one-mile stretch, from Highway N east to the county line.
He says they hope to finish by the beginning of July. He says hopefully the weather will be good, because they understand the impact that the closure will have on traffic.
The road is closed to thru traffic, and there is access to businesses.
Ottery says they're going to pulverize the original road, and put new pavement on top of it. He says they're also going to fix a couple of drainage problems along the road. |
