News » Appleton to look at policies for food trucks
June 13, 2012 More food trucks are setting up shop in downtown Appleton, and city leaders want to make sure they can succeed, along with the brick-and-mortar businesses.
The municipal services committee voted 4-to-1 yesterday to explore new policies for the trucks.
Jennifer Stephany is the executive director of Appleton Downtown Inc., and she says a lot of bigger cities have found a way for the two to co-exist.
Stephany says there is currently a 50-foot setback for trucks, from similar businesses.
City staffers are expected to present some recommendations to the committee in a couple of weeks. |
