News » Lawmakers go to 'brat summit'
June 13, 2012 The much-hyped "brat summit" at the governor's mansion is over.
Republican Sen. Dale Schultz of Richland Center says he's optimistic about the possibility for civility, and bi-partisanship. He says they have to start somewhere.
Democratic Sen. Bob Jauch of Poplar says the event hosted by Governor Walker was a chance for lawmakers to talk informally about serious matters. But he says mostly, people were just enjoying the late afternoon and the good weather.
The "brat summit" came one week after Governor Walker won his recall election. |
