News » Businesses eager for Packers training camp
June 15, 2012 The Green Bay Packers announced their training camp schedule yesterday, and businesses in the stadium district are eagerly awaiting for the team to start practicing on July 26.
Greater Green Bay Convention and Visitors Bureau President Brad Toll says training camp usually has an economic impact of about $5 million. He says they're hoping for a bounce back year, because crowds were smaller last year because of the NFL lockout.
Toll says if you factor in the shareholders meeting, Family Night, and two preseason games, Packers-related events in August will have an economic impact of $25 million to $30 million. |
