The Appleton Farm Market is turning 20 years old.
Tomorrow is the first Saturday of the outdoor market along College Avenue in the downtown.
Jennifer Stephany of Appleton Downtown Inc. says they actually started in a parking lot at the corner of Washington and Superior streets, with fewer vendors. She says they moved to College Avenue 10 years ago.
Stephany says they have a waiting list of about 150 vendors, but they have to be careful not to expand too quickly.
The Farm Market will run on Saturday mornings, through the end of October, between 8 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.
The Art and Green markets are going to be back again this year, on the third Saturday of the month, on the east end of College Avenue. |
