News » Firefighters training on large vehicles
June 15, 2012 It's much more difficult for firefighters to get people out of large vehicles, when they get in a crash, and they're trapped inside.
Today, crews from Appleton and Grand Chute are getting some hands-on training.
Grand Chute assistant fire chief Mike DeBruler says they're at Appleton Auto Recyclers in Mackville today for an exercise using buses, semis, cement trucks, and other large vehicles.
DeBruler says they don't get the opportunity to do this kind of training often, because the vehicles are hard to come by. |
