News » Greenville group continues fight to oust official
June 19, 2012 A Greenville group that wants to have a town supervisor removed from office, is regrouping after a defeat in court yesterday.
Ethics First Greenville interim director Steve Nagy says a lawsuit accusing town supervisor Michael Woods of harassment and other misconduct, was dismissed yesterday in Outagamie County court. He says the judge told them that he doesn't have the judicial power to remove an elected official, but if the complaint were refiled as a petition to a judge, it could be considered under a judge's executive power. Nagy says his group will adjust and move ahead.
The group accuses Woods of sending harassing letters and voicemails to the Greenville town chair and another resident. As well as illegally filling a ditch and tapping into the town's water supply. |
