News » N.E.W Clinic receiving $900K grant
June 21, 2012 A $900,000 grant from the federal government will help a Green Bay area clinic start a dental clinic, and double the number of patients they help.
The N.E.W. Clinic serves low-income people at locations in downtown Green Bay and Northeast Wisconsin Technical College.
Clinic director Bonnie Kuhr says most of the money will go to the dental clinic at NWTC.
Kuhr says they also offer nursing and behavior health services. They're helping up to 4,000 patients a year, but that number will go to 8,000 with the grant.
Kuhr says she's happy they can add more resources to the NWTC site, because it's more convenient for people on Green Bay's north and west sides.
Clinics in Sheboygan and Marshfield also received grants from the health and human services department today. |
