News » Harrison moves ahead with incorporation plans
June 20, 2012 Town of Harrison officials are preparing for the next steps in the incorporation process, to turn part of the town into a village.
Town Administrator Travis Parish says the department of administration's incorporation review board will schedule a public hearing on the issue. He says the hearing will likely be next month, and the board will make a decision by early December.
After that, Parish says a judge would order a referendum on the incorporation. He thinks it would pass.
The proposed village would run from State Park Road to the town's western border, and from Highway KK on the northside, to Highway 10 in the south.
A judge dismissed an incorporation objection from the city of Menasha earlier this week. |
