News » Campbellsport girl in court for deadly crash
June 19, 2012 A plea deal could be reached soon, in the case of a Campbellsport teen who was speeding when she crashed an SUV, killing three of her friends, and seriously injuring five others.
Carly Ottery faces three counts of homicide by negligent driving.
Court records say she was driving more than 100 miles per hour, when she crashed in a field.
15-year-old Sabrina Stahl, 16-year-old Katie Berg and 17-year-old Caitlin Scannell were killed in the crash.
Winnebago County DA Christian Gossett is a special prosecutor in the case, because Fond du Lac County District Attorney Dan Kaminsky says his office has several conflicts.
Gossett says the case could be resolved by the next court hearing.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled July 27. |
