News » State below national average for gov't workers
Mar. 16, 2010 Wisconsin has fewer government employees than most states in the country.
Todd Berry of the Wisconsin Taxpayers Alliance says the state has traditionally been below the national average, and that's still the case.
According to a new study, Wisconsin had eight-point-two percent fewer state and local government employees per capita than the national average in 2008.
More than 75 percent of the state's 280,000 public employees worked for local governments. |
