News » Ribble reacts to Obama's immigration move
June 19, 2012 A Republican lawmaker from northeast Wisconsin says President Obama should enforce the country's immigration laws that Congress put on the books.
Congressman Reid Ribble of Sherwood is reacting to the president's decision to no longer deport young people who were brought here before they were 16, and are under 30.
He says there are three parts to the immigration issue -- security, current immigration laws, and what to do with people who are here illegally. Ribble says there isn't a consensus on any of them.
Ribble says the president obviously wanted to make immigration a campaign issue, and they'll have to see how people feel about it. |
