A group of veterans stopped by the state capitol yesterday to urge the military to become less dependent on fossil fuels.
Neenah native Robin Eckstine is a member of "Operation Free." She says she started thinking about the issue while driving trucks in Iraq.
Eckstine says the Navy and Marine Corps have plans to reduce their carbon emissions. She says later this year the Navy plans to test fly an F/A-18 Super Hornet powered by bio-fuel. |
