News » Work continues on Appleton bike trails
June 18, 2012 Appleton street crews are putting bike lanes on Newberry Street this year, to help give bicyclists on the city's east side easier access to the rest of the city.
Appleton traffic engineer Eric Lom says that lane will connect them with Telulah Park, the downtown area, and the city's westside.
He says it's important because more people are ditching their cars for their bikes, for short trips.
Lom says they have a 20-year master plan to make the city much more bicycle friendly. |
