News » Foggy commute brings back memories of pile-ups
Mar. 9, 2010 This morning's foggy commute probably had people thinking about last Friday's pile-ups on Highway 41 near Kaukauna.
Lt. Nick Scorcio is with the state patrol, and he says that's especially the case for people who know those involved in the accidents, and people who were close to the scene when the pile-ups happened.
Scorcio says when it's foggy, drivers need to slow down and keep their distance from the vehicle in front of them. He says they should also turn on their low-beam headlights and stay vigilant.
There were two separate pile-ups on Highway 41 near Kaukauna last Friday. 31 cars were involved in the largest one, and seven were in the second.
A 52-year-old Greenville man suffered the most serious injuries and he was released from a local hospital yesterday. |
