News » Suspect in arrow shooting can stay at home
June 20, 2012 A judge will wait until August to decide whether to move a 16-year-old boy into adult court for shooting a seven-year-old girl in the back with an arrow.
Until then, the teen will be able to return home.
The boy was in Fond du Lac County court this morning, for a juvenile hearing.
District Attorney Dan Kaminsky says the teen has been staying at a group home.
The teen is accused of firing the arrow that hit Aryanna Schneeberg last month. He'll be monitored by GPS until the August 1 court hearing.
Kaminsky says if he stays in juvenile court, he would face a maximum of two years at Lincoln Hills. He says the boy might have to pay tens of thousands of dollars in restitution, and there would be more supervision in the adult system. |
