A group of Appleton bars is trying to make sure people get home safe tonight, if they have too much to drink while celebrating St. Patrick's Day.
Appleton Safe Ride Coordinator George Schroeder says 20 bars participate in the program. He says it's free and easy to use.
Schroeder says today is the three-year anniversary of Appleton's Safe Ride program.
He says statistics from the Appleton police department show the number of drunk driving arrests are down since the program started.
Schroeder says they've given about 2,000 safe rides home each year. |
