News » Authorities seek help in cat death
June 18, 2012 A tote with a dead cat inside washed up along the Oshkosh shoreline, and authorities are trying to figure out where it came from.
Lt. Dave Mack of the Winnebago County sheriff's department says the tote was found May 21 at the Fugleberg Park boat landing, near the yacht club.
Someone cut several holes in the tote, and used a yellow rope to hold the cat down inside.
The cat was black with a white chest, and a white stripe across its face. It was a domestic short hair with possible Maine Coon breeding. Investigators think the cat was between two and five years old.
The Winnebago County sheriff's department is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information through the sheriff's department or Crimestoppers. |
