It’s Friday which means the weekend is upon us! It also means it’s time for me to give my recommendations on what to do this weekend. Let’s get right into it.
Friday – Friday kicks off many great things happening in Northeast Wisconsin this weekend, but the one I would really like to focus on is in Oshkosh. The Oshkosh Street Music Festival is in full swing and is a great event. I went 3 years ago and had a blast. I haven’t had a chance to go back yet, but I certainly would love to. You bounce around from bar to bar with live music outside, inside and everywhere. You really can’t beat this scene in the summer, especially if the weather is beautiful. Despite me going 3 years ago, it has certainly left enough of impact on me for me to recommend it even after not being there for 3 years.
Saturday – Saturday has two specific events I will be hitting tomorrow. First off , stop on down to my favorite bar in Northeast Wisconsin, Richard Craniums, for a barbecue cook-off. Yours truly will be one of the “celebrity judges” and eating for free. Richard Craniums is a chill environment and they know how to throw a good party. So stop on down, watch me get sauce all over my beard and let’s enjoy some beverages together. After I’m done stuffing my face, I’m heading over to AnduzziFest East to watch Shaker and the Egg reunite for a kick ass show. This is Pat Schorr at his best with the rest of the band (who are all equally as talented) showin’ up and showin’ out.
Sunday – Sunday, slide back down to Oshkosh to see DJ Cell outside at Peabody’s. Peabody’s is one of my favorite establishments in Oshkosh and the outdoor patio is fantastic. Plus, what’s better than enjoying a drink, outside with a live DJ. That sounds like the perfect Sunday Funday to me!
There you have it for this week. If there is something you think I should know about, hit me up on Instagram, Snap Chat or Twitter @whatthechuck99. And as always, if you see me out and about, don’t be afraid to say hi!
