Hello all non deer hunters (which includes me),
It’s time to look forward to what the weekend has in store for those of us who will not be waking up before dawn to sit in the cold woods in hopes of shooting something other than the shit. Let’s get started.
Friday – There’s this quaint bar on Newberry St. in Appleton that is hosting a “Widow’s Weekend 90’s Party” and that bar would be MT Pockets. The party kicks off at 8pm with music from My So Called 90’s Band. The hostess with the mostest usually has something fun up her sleeve. This bar gets a fun crowd and don’t sleep on their menu, it’s actually pretty damn good for “bar food.”
Saturday – Saturday you may find me at one of the most rockin’ (and I mean that literally) bars in Northeast Wisconsin. Phat Headz in Green Bay will be having 2 kick ass bands starting at 10pm. Evade The Enemy and Jamie Fontaine and The Level will be entertaining your most rock side. I’ve never seen Evade The Enemy, but I have seen Jamie Fontaine and The Level a handful of times and not only are they a tight knit group that grooves, but they are fun to watch. Especially that bass player.
Sunday – The Sunday leading into Thanksgiving week isn’t all too wild because there’s no Packer game. So there are two things that are interesting to me. First, Player 2 in Appleton is hosting their monthly Mario Kart 64 tournament. What a classic. The best part is it’s FREE. That starts at 2. If you get bounced out of that early, you can head to Ladder House in Little Chute for some trivia fun. I do love me some trivia. That kicks off at 4pm.
There you have it. The highlights according to my eyes. As usual, if you see me out, don’t be afraid to say hi! You can follow me on Instagram, Snap Chat & Twitter @whatthechuck99
