Ted Pelkey is a man who lives in a small town in Vermont and all he wanted was to build a garage so he could run his business on his own property.
For the last ten years, the town of Westford has turned him down.
Well, Ted has finally had enough! He took $4,000 and had a giant middle finger made out of wood.
The best part is Ted put it on a 16-foot pole and pointed it toward the city as a giant “F U” to the Selectboard as well the Development Review Board. As if it being 7oo-lbs and 16 feet in the air wasn’t enough, he surrounded it with flood lights so it can be clearly seen at night.
I’m willing to bet that $4,000 was for the garage he wanted to build, but instead we got this wonderful piece of art in a peaceful protest for not allowing a small business owner to build a garage on his property so he could save some money.
I salute you Ted. And if you see me and I’m flipping you off, it’s not in anger, but in your honor.
