Welcome to the first weekend of 2019! Which means it’s time for me to give you what I’m looking forward to this weekend in hopes that it’ll help you out. Although, I’m sure many are going to take this weekend to catch up from the holidays. For those of us that don’t live that life, here we go!
Friday – For those that know me, you know I’m a karaoke singin’ fool and what better way to kick off the weekend than by doing just that! Dairyland Brew Pub has karaoke every first Friday of the month starting at 9pm. They have a little stage area where they hold live music and open mic comedy nights that will be perfect for karaoke. Plenty of table seating, TV’s and bar make this a cozy place to hang out on a Friday night. Located on Wisconsin Ave in Appleton, it’s a great place to go straight from your fish fry meal to singing your best life.
Saturday – This is an open party bash happening at Plan B in Kaukaun. Jamie Fontaine and The Level along with Dead Cedar will be helping Frank & Marty ring in their birthday’s. Like I said earlier, this is open to the public with the party starting at 8pm, bands at 9pm and FREE BEER. I’ve never been to Plan B, but I’ve always been curious about it. I have seen Jamie Fontaine and The Level and they are definitely worth the drive.
Sunday – This is the day to “Get Your Think On” and perhaps your drink on at the Ladder House in Little Chute. 4pm they are hosting trivia where 1st place gets $50. It’s free to play and a low-key way to end the weekend. If you’ve never been to the Ladder House, I strongly suggest you check it out. Bigger on the inside than it looks, but quite nice.
There you have it. As expected, not a ton happening as a lot of us are recovering from the holidays still. For those of you who love to burn the midnight oil, get out and get some! If there’s something happening out there you think I should check out, hit me up on Snap Chat, Twitter & Instagram @whatthechuck99. As always, if you see me out, don’t be afraid to say hi!
Be safe and cheers to the first weekend of the New Year.
