A 25-year-old man will remain behind bars, as part of the investigation into the disappearance of two brothers from the Seymour area.
A judge in Missouri is denying bond for a suspect in what’s now a death investigation. Garland “Joey” Nelson is accused of driving the truck rented by 35-year-old Nick Diemel and 24-year-old Justin Diemel.
The brothers own Diemel’s Livestock, and they were on a business trip. Their last known location was at Nelson’s farm in Braymer, about 60 miles northeast of Kansas City.
Investigators announced last Friday that the two are presumed dead, and they continue to search the farm.
Nelson made his first court appearance this morning on a charge of tampering with a vehicle. He’s scheduled to be back in court for another bond hearing on Thursday.
