A financial literacy center will open on the Fox Valley Technical College campus in Grand Chute in January, with the help of some grants.
Junior Achievement of Wisconsin is receiving $733,000 through the Community Foundation for the Fox Valley Region to help pay for the project. About $350,000 of that is from the David and Rita Nelson Family Fund.
Marta Weldon of Junior Achievement says they’re going to use the center to teach children about budgeting and taxes. The nonprofit kicked off a $2.7 million fundraising campaign in May of last year.
