A familiar face in Fox Valley government will serve as the interim Oshkosh finance director this fall.
Former Little Chute Village Administrator Russ Van Gompel is stepping into the role, after last month’s departure of Trena Larson.
City Manager Mark Rohloff says Van Gompel is already up to speed on the proposed city budget for next year.
Van Gompel recently served as interim Village Administrator in Winneconne and Hortonville. He’s a former administrator in Little Chute.
Rohloff adds that the search for a new finance director is already underway. He believes Van Gompel will likely be on board through the process of approving the new budget, in November.
