A grant will help the Friends of High Cliff State Park build a playground.
Group President Paul Stelter says the David and Rita Nelson Family Fund is providing $100,000. The project is expected to cost about $175,000, and he says they’re working to raise the rest.
The playground would be in the upper level of the park, south of the observation tower.
Stelter expects to start construction this year, and the project should done sometime next year.
