A group that takes local veterans to Washington D.C. to see the war memorials is making some special plans for this fall.
Old Glory Honor Flight will take two planes filled with vets from World War II, Korea, and Vietnam on October 23rd.
President Drew MacDonald says it will be a lot more work, but they want to be aggressive. He says even though they’re one of the most active Honor Flight groups in the country, at the end of the year, it seems like the size of their waiting list is similar.
The group will also take a trip on September 11th this year. MacDonald hopes they’ll be able to visit the 9-11 memorial at the Pentagon that day.
