Sunday was the Green Bay Packers’ 100th anniversary and fans got a chance to take a piece of the field home with them.
The team gave out grass seeds from Lambeau Field. Fans waited in lines that stretched around Lambeau Field for more than an hour.
Liz Hammetter of Milwaukee wants to keep them forever. She plans to plant them in a pot so they don’t get mixed into regular grass.
People also got free Packers gear, cake, and watched the first episode of the documentary “Legacy.” It’s about the first decade of the team’s history.
