FEMA workers spent yesterday in the Appleton area and they’re stressing that local governments could be in line for federal funding.
People and businesses aren’t eligible for money. Spokesman Troy Christensen says communities could be reimbursed up to 75 percent of their costs for dealing with storm damage. He says it’s for things like clearing debris and damage to buildings.
Christensen says it can also cover overtime for first responders during those storms. FEMA hopes to have an overall estimate of the storm damage across Wisconsin by the end of this week.
