Georgia-Pacific is postponing expansion plans in Green Bay indefinitely.
The company was proposing to add about 458,000 square feet to the mill on South Broadway. It would have also moved coal piles and torn down two smoke stacks.
Company Spokesman Mike Kawleski says they aren’t abandoning the idea completely. He says they have a lot of facilities and projects, so the priority of those plans can change from time to time.
Georgia-Pacific brought the plans to the City of Green Bay. The company is asking city staffers to hold onto them in case the project moves forward in the future.
