Some local farmers are thanking Governor Evers for sending President Trump a letter asking him to end the trade war with China.
The governor says farmers are facing trade uncertainty, low prices, and bad weather.
Mike Gerrits of Country Aire Farms in Greenleaf is worried about the future. He says about 45% of their whey goes to China.
Gerrits is optimistic the trade war will end soon. Until then, he says farmers will plow through it hoping prices get better.
