The Oshkosh school district says some student records ended up in a dumpster outside of the former Smith Elementary School.
Workers are clearing out the building by moving items or throwing some things out. Someone from the community found old records that apparently were supposed to be moved to storage. They were thrown away instead.
The district is apologizing for the data breach.
