Two special elections for seats on Appleton’s city council will give the clerk’s office a chance to try out some new technology.
Clerk Kami Lynch says they’ll be using electronic poll books.
Workers use the books to look up the address of voters and then voters have to sign them. Lynch says they’ll borrow the equipment from the Wisconsin Elections Commission. She plans to start slowly rolling out electronic poll books across the city next year.
There are special elections on September 10th for city council seats in Districts 6 and 15.
