The Oshkosh woman killed, when she fell into a quarry with her husband, was 31-year-old Alissa Bartels.
Winnebago County Sheriff’s deputies say they were near the Hill Tavern, along Highway D, west of Winneconne. Her 31-year-old husband, Lucas, was flown by helicopter to ThedaCare’s Neenah hospital.
Deputies aren’t releasing his condition.
They say a friend found them, after they fell about 40 to 50 feet to the bottom of the quarry. They don’t believe they were familiar with the terrain in the area.
