Governor Evers is calling Republican concerns over his proposed changes to gun laws “BS.”
While on WTMJ radio in Milwaukee this morning, Evers said he’ll consider holding a special session if Majority Republicans in the Legislature don’t take up his two bills. He thinks if GOP lawmakers just “gavel in and gavel out,” they’ll pay the price in next year’s election.
Evers is pushing for universal background checks, and a “red flag” law that would take guns away from people if they’re a risk to themselves or others.
GOP leaders have indicated that they won’t vote on the proposals.
