School buses are running in the Oshkosh school district today to test the routes in real time.
Superintendent Vickie Cartwright says it’s the second year in a row that Kobussen drivers are doing that. They’re running them in the morning and the afternoon.
She says if there are issues, they can make some changes to routes. It also gives students and their parents a chance to meet their bus driver.
Dan Kobussen of the bus company says Oshkosh is the only district they work with that does a live run. He says drivers in other districts can practice their routes, whenever they want. He thinks they might expand the real-time test to more communities.
