Wrightstown could be home to the state’s largest manure digester.
BC Organics wants to put the $60 million project on private property along Highway IL.
It would be across the road from land destined to be a landfill.
The company originally wanted to put the project in the town of Holland but it was rejected.
Town attorney James Kalny says they’re taking a look at how the digester would impact pollution or wildlife.
At least seven farms could take manure from dairy cows to the site to be turned into natural gas, liquid fertilizer and dried fiber.
People can weigh in on the proposal next Wednesday, September 4th at a public hearing. It starts at 7 p.m. at the Wrightstown Town hall.
