Most people in Wisconsin that were treated for serious lung issues after vaping were using THC waxes or oils.
Doctor John Meiman is the chief medical officer for the state department of health services. He says the common link is the THC, and it’s important to let the public know about the potential danger.
THC is the active ingredient in marijuana. Meiman says they’re investigating 32 cases and they’ve talked with 27 of the people so far. 89 percent of them were vaping THC. One of the cases is from Winnebago County.
