Students at Huntley Elementary School in Appleton will see some inspirational messages in an unlikely place when they start school next week.
Teachers painted eight bathrooms over the summer and added words of encouragement in their designs.
Principal Kendra Vandertie says they gave students a survey last year asking what they needed to improve. She says they asked for the bathrooms to be spruced up.
The messages include sayings like “Be the Reason Someone Smiles Today” and “Have Courage to be Kind.” Vandertie hopes they help students feel more positive during the school year.
