Hemp growers got a chance to showcase their crop, during a special dinner in Green Bay last night.
Dennis Nelson brought leaves from his own field in Suamico to Tenet Restaurant. He says the raw leaves have the same nutrients as super green vegetables.
The dinner was open to the public. Nelson says it was also a chance to show how hemp can change the state’s agriculture industry.
It’s the second straight year in Wisconsin that farmers have been able to legally grow hemp.
