Two new schools may be in Oshkosh’s future.
A special committee is looking at immediate needs in the district.
Deputy Superintendent David Gundlach says that includes new buildings, including consolidating middle schools into a new one, on the north side. He says they might also renovate an elementary school on the north side, or build a new one in that same part of the district.
The Oshkosh school district is looking to increase efficiency in the use of its buildings by having more kids in fewer schools.
The committee also believes upgrading safety and security should be a priority.
